Nick Tyrrell has been a Director of the practice since 2004. Nick is responsible for the instigation of design and for client interface and collaboration, while leading teams from concept design through to documentation and construction.
Nick has experience in a broad range of project types both in Australia and overseas, including medium and high-rise commercial offices, hotels, serviced and residential apartments, retail, libraries, cultural, health and justice facilities, master planning, and transport infrastructure projects,
Architecture of note in Nick’s portfolio includes public facilities such as Newcastle Courthouse and the Forensic Medicine & Coroners Court Complex, transport projects such as Chatswood Transport Interchange and Wynyard Station Upgrade, over station developments such as the Metro Residences Chatswood, and commercial projects such as American Express House, 10 Shelley Street, and NICTA.
Nick has a particular interest in urban enhancement and achieving environmental sustainability. Beyond delivering beautiful buildings that are a joy to spend time in, his aim is to create outcomes that engage with, activate, and enhance their urban context in a genuinely positive manner.
