Cliff Nichols

Head of Insights and Marketing

Cliff is National Head of Insights and Marketing.

Cliff sits on the National Design and Marketing Committee and also attends the national Futures, Interiors and Technology groups.

He was previously MD of brand and experiential consultancy, Emery Studio and before that was MD at Luxury Branding and GM at Futurebrand.

Cliff has 20 years of brand and marketing experience – both as a service provider and as a client.

Before officially joining Cox in January 2016 Cliff had worked on a number of projects with the practice in his capacity of a brand, marketing and place-making consultant. His approach is based on ‘content’ marketing in order to achieve a meaningful and authentically distinct positioning for the practice that goes well beyond conventional ‘surface’ promotion.

Notable projects with Cox include Northbank Precinct, Queens Place and SCGT. He also directly contributes to submissions and opportunities of national focus and importance. Previously Cliff was responsible for branding projects such as the award-winning rebranding of Fiji Airways, Cricket Australia’s BBL and its constituent teams, Hayman Island and One&Only Resorts.

Cliff has authored six publications and has been a featured guest on CNBC, CNN, BBC World and Channel News Asia.
