National BIM Coordinator
Ashley Beckett joined our Brisbane office in 2012, as Architect for the Cairns Cultural Entertainment Precinct, and since then has been the Project Architect on several exemplary projects. Ashley holds a bachelor’s degree in architecture and is a Registered Architect in Queensland.
In his early career, Ashley was involved in the construction documentation and contract administration for the $110 million Queensland Gallery of Modern Art in Brisbane where he learned the art of finessing construction to achieve architectural design requirements. Subsequent projects like the award-winning $630 million Queen Elizabeth II Courts of Law and Christchurch Justice and Emergency Services Precinct are examples of large and complex public architecture that Ashley has helped design and deliver. Ashley has also been the Architect for the $500 million Townsville Hospital Redevelopment in north Queensland, specifically undertaking the Cancer Centre, South Block Ward and Clinical Support Centre.
As the National BIM Coordinator at Cox Architecture, Ashley is a leader in Building Information Technology processes and solutions. Prior to his appointment as the National leader, Ashley played a key role in the successful delivery of over $3 billion in projects utilising BIM. Ashley presented at the Asia and Pacific Revit Technology Conference in 2010 on the effects of BIM on the Brisbane Supreme and District Court.
