Paul joined COX in 2001 and has been responsible for a number of projects such as the Viridian residential complex at Kingston Foreshore, the façade to the Section 84 component of the Canberra Centre, EAST Hotel, the Canberra Centre Food Court refurbishment, and the Willinga Park Equestrian Centre.
Paul initially trained and worked as a draftsman for a small architectural practice. He later established a drafting service which he expanded to undertake residential alterations and additions under his own building licence.
After completing his degree in 1983, Paul worked with a variety of firms, including Phil McMasters Pty Ltd, Mitchell Giurgola & Thorp, Lester Firth and Associates, and Interiors Australia.
Paul was with Interiors Australia for 9 years as a Project Officer responsible for all aspects of office refurbishment, including feasibility and accommodation studies, building evaluation, budget and programming schedules and relocation of staff as required to deliver accommodation changes.
In 1999 Paul, with a work colleague, established MSA & Associates in Canberra and worked on accommodation for Government Departments and Private enterprise. He undertook considerable work developing guidelines and standards for courtroom design and construction for the Federal Court of Australia.
