Kim Huat Tan
Senior Team Leader
Kim Huat Tan has a Masters in Architecture from Cornell University USA (1990), Bachelor of Architecture from Kent State University (1987) and Bachelor of Science from Kent State University (1986) with Honours. At Cornell, he was trained by the acclaimed urbanist, Professor Colin Rowe.
He has worked in the United States on educational, office and correctional facility projects, and in Malaysia on over 20 projects including Equine facilities, community centres and apartment buildings.
Kim joined Cox Architecture in 2005 working on the $500 million redevelopment of the South Bank Institute of Technology in Brisbane and the Green Square office development for Brisbane City Council in Fortitude Valley.
Kim has led documentation teams for the solar-hydrogen powered Sir Samuel Griffith Centre at Brisbane’s Griffith University campus, the Gold Coast Aquatic Centre for the 2018 Commonwealth Games, and the Queensland State Velodrome in Brisbane’s Chandler.
He is one of our leaders in 3D Revit technology.
