Having completed architectural studies in Germany and Australia, Ali first joined Cox Architecture in 2008-2015 and re-joined the practice in 2017. She has worked on a diverse range of project types, with a particular interest in the resolution of complex briefs from master planning to detailed design.
Ali’s work with the practice has been predominantly in the public realm encompassing education, cultural and sporting projects. She was a key member of the design and documentation team for the award-winning UQ Oral Health Centre, the Gold Coast Aquatic Centre and the Anna Meares Velodrome. She is the Project Architect for the Queensland Museum Refurbishment in Brisbane and the soon to be completed Central Plaza at the JCU Campus in Townsville.
Ali’s recent involvement in the Economic Transition Projects on North Stradbroke Island with the Indigenous group QYAC have furthered her interest in direct stakeholder engagement, and projects with regional and cultural sensitivities.
Ali enjoys acting as a mentor for graduate architects in our Brisbane practice.
