Graduate Designer with Transport Experience

We are currently seeking a Graduate Designer with expertise in the following sectors: infrastructure, transport, rail, aviation, education and health.

The following skills and experience are essential:

  • Qualifications: Masters in Architecture
  • Work experience: 5 years total, with 2 to 3 years post graduate
  • Excellent 3D modelling renderings and animation, and graphic presentation
  • Excellent concept design skills and communication and passion for design and architecture
  • Excellent Software including; Revit, Rhino, Vray and 3D printing platforms including sketchup
  • BIM: Potential as model manager
  • Concept design to construction detail knowledge, and inter – disciplinary coordination
  • Project sectors expertise; Infrastructure, transport, rail, aviation, education and health
  • Documentation Communication; ProjectWise or Aconex

Experience Graduate Designer:

  • Work experience in architectural practice: 3 – 5 years post graduate

  • Revit Leadership: potential model manager

National Design Technology Leader

Would you like to be part of our national practice and help shape the future of Technology in Architecture at Cox?

The Design Technology Leader is a national role with the opportunity to be based in any of our studios – Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide.

The DTL is responsible for ensuring current and future technology is integrated cohesively and holistically within our national practice to enhance design quality and deliver efficiency. This role will provide leadership and guidance to the Design Technology Group, while focusing on strategy and operations to provide direction to the national practice around design driven automation, computation, research and development.

Responsibilities include: 

  • Providing leadership, support and guidance to the Design Technology Group, including BIM Group to foster and support the delivery of design excellence.
  • Creating, maintaining and updating the Design Technology Strateg
  • Preparing Annual Budget and Reporting
  • Management of licensing (Design Technology) and core design software testing / rollouts
  • Ensuring manuals, procedures and templates are documented and kept up to date
  • Ensuring all branches are supported by Design Technology
  • Ensuring business-as-usual is operating at optimal quality and efficiency
  • Liaising with the Innovative and Research Heads to ensure vision and strategy of Design Technology is responsive to operational and branch requirements
  • Identifying training needs within Design Technology team
  • Liaising with CIO

Necessary Experience

  • At least 8 years’ experience within Architecture (preferred) or Engineering
  • 2 -3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Proficient across Revit, Rhino, AutoCAD platforms, etc and parametric software
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build effective relationships
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to resolve complex issues
  • Adaptable and forward thinking

Qualifications

  • Degree or Masters in Architecture or equivalent
